Sub Occipitals Stretch
- Sit on a chair
- Hook the hand on the same side as the muscle to be stretched underneath the chair
- Sit up tall‚ shoulders back‚ chest out and chin tucked in
- Cheek bones over collar bones
- Maintain this position while you bend your neck sideways (ear to shoulder) away from the arm tucked under the chair
- Slowly drop chin to chest
- You can add overpressure with the other hand is you wish
- Maintain normal relaxed breathing
- Hold for prescribed period and then relax
