Spine Exercises

Passive Extensions

  1. Lie on your stomach on the floor
  2. Place your hands on the floor by your side‚ at shoulder level
  3. Completely relax your back and buttock
  4. Push up with your arms‚ lifting your chest off the ground
  5. Keep your chin tucked in‚ keeping your neck long whilst maintaining a neutral cervical position
  6. Push up as far as comfortable or until your hips rise off the floor
  7. The back should be gently curved from the upper to lower back‚ not arched sharply at one location
  8. Hold for prescribed period and return to start position
