Spine Exercises

Dorsal Glide with Rotation

  1. Sit or stand
  2. Place a doweling rod along the top of your shoulders‚ behind your neck
  3. Push chest up and outwards‚ pulling shoulders down and backwards
  4. Relax your neck muscles
  5. Keep eyes on the horizon at all times during the exercise
  6. Without tilting your head forward or backwards‚ draw your chin directly backwards‚ giving yourself a double chin
  7. This should align your cheek bones over your collar bones
  8. Maintaining this position‚ slowly rotate your trunk‚ without rotating your neck relative to your trunk.
  9. Slowly return to the start position and repeat for the other side
