Shoulder Exercises

Theraband Up and Away

  1. Place the Theraband in the bottom of a door frame
  2. Stand with feet shoulder width apart‚ or kneel at a 90° angle to the wall
  3. Draw belly button to spine
  4. Grip the end of the Theraband in your outside hand (exercise side)
  5. Your arm should be placed across your chest‚ at an angle towards the opposite hip
  6. There should be some tension on the band in this position
  7. Slowly pull up and away from your body towards the ceiling
  8. The end position is with the arm fully extended at an angle close to 135° from the floor
  9. Hold for the prescribed period and slowly return to the start position
  10. Concentrate on slow‚ smooth‚ controlled movement
