Shoulder Exercises

Theraband External Rotation

  1. Place the Theraband in a door or attach to suitable item at approximately hip height
  2. Stand with the exercise arm farthest from the wall‚ trunk and head facing at a 90° angle to the band
  3. Tuck your elbow into your side with elbow bent to 90°
  4. Place feet shoulder width apart and draw belly button to spine
  5. The start position is arm across chest whilst maintaining the elbow in contact with your side
  6. There should be some tension on the band in this position
  7. Pull outwards to 100° or until you cannot move any further
  8. Slowly control the movement back to the starting position‚ concentrating on slow‚ smooth‚ controlled movement
