Standing Quadriceps Self Stretch
- Stand next to a wall for balance
- Grip the stretch leg at the ankle with your hand on the same side of the body
- Draw the ankle towards the buttock
- Ensure as you do this your trunk does not bend forwards or to the side
- Make sure when the knee is fully bent to achieve the stretch’ the knee aligns with the other knee
- It should not be forward’ back or separated from the other leg
- End position is achieved when the heel contacts the buttock or you feel a stretch in the front of the thigh
